The
insulated coffee mug is perfect for those cold days when you need hot coffee with you at all times. But not only then.
You can take your mug with you in your car on your way to work. You can simply have it with you at work to
keep you company in those stressful moments when all you want it take a deep coffee sip. You can take it with
you when you're hiking, have no access to any coffee shop or Starbucks and just want some coffee taste in your
mouth. Even when you simply buy your coffee you might prefer using this mug instead of those dreadful plastic
cups they give you in most places.
Most cars nowadays have a place specially for coffee cups and when
you're driving you can use your insulated coffee mug in the car. All you need is make sure that it fits
snugly in the cup holder and that it's not so tall as to spill over when you make an abrupt halt at the
traffic light or other place. This is why the cup should have a spill-proof lid that closes well. One of the
best type of lid for it is the one that screws on rather than snapping on because it won't be knocked over as
easily as the other type.
The insulated coffee mugs are environmentally friendly, at
least when compared to the Styrofoam cups. No wonder that some places have actually started banning those
dreadful cups since the chemicals contained in them are quite harmful to people and the ecosystem. This, btw,
is another perfect reason to simply switch to the insulated cups from the Styrofoam types if you're still
using them.
Most such cups are quite easy to clean, but to give yourself the
easiest work, find a mug that has a smooth interior and the lid is easy to clean. By drinking coffee with
milk and sugar, if your cup is not smooth inside, it will be much more difficult to clean once all this has
dried already in your cup due to the sugar going in all those crevices that the mug might have. If your mug
is leak-proof, it's a double-edged sword because on one hand it really keeps your coffee from leaking out,
but on the other hand, the channels are a bit more difficult to clean.
Another aspect that makes having one of these cups rather than anything
else is the fact that by using an insulated coffee mug you're actually saving money. Coffee at the local
Starbucks or any other coffee shop is not cheap and people consume coffee as their daily beverage of choice.
So just taking an average of $3-4 a day for the coffee you're buying, you're saving a year at least $900 only
from coffee. Think about what else you could do with that money instead. Buy yourself a new laptop or keep it
to buy your kids that perfect Christmas gift. Or buy your new insulated coffee mug which costs only a
fraction of this money :-)
